Custom Branding for Individual Storefronts

Updated today

Adding branded touches to individual storefronts truly brings your gifting experience into the fold. Instead of feeling like a disconnected buying journey, a branded storefront makes buying a gift feel like a thoughtful and intentional part of the overall customer experience.

When you customize the branding of individual storefronts, you can tap into more flexibility with banners, brand colors, brand logo, and digital greeting cards.

Note: When you create additional public or private storefronts, the header banner and digital gift wrap colors will automatically default to your account-level branding settings. These can be changed at any time within an individual storefront’s branding settings.

Before you dive in, here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Use PNG files for all uploaded images, including logos, banner graphics, and digital card designs. Use the following dimensions and file types for each asset:

    • Logo: There is no specific dimension for logos, since logo sizes fluctuate from brand to brand. However, we recommend a minimum size of 600x600px and a maximum size of 800x800px PNG. Tightly crop your logo so here’s no extra transparent space padding your logo.

    • Banner graphic: 1728x456 PNG center focal point for responsive cropping. If using a centered logo, make sure it's no wider than 420px within the banner for optimal mobile display.

    • Digital cards: 960x960 JPEG or PNG

  • Keep the focal point of any banner image centered, since mobile devices center-crop the image and edges will be cut off.

  • If you want text in your banner image, bake it into the PNG itself using a design tool like Canva or InDesign as Zest does not support text overlays on uploaded images.

  • Complete your core branding settings (logo, colors, corner styles, etc.) before your storefront goes live.

Customizing a Storefront Header Banner

The header banner is the first thing gifters see when they land on your storefront. You can customize it for your Main Storefront as well as any public or private Custom Storefronts.

  1. Go to your Zest Partners portal and click Storefronts.

  2. Select the storefront you'd like to customize.

  3. Scroll to the Banner section and choose your preferred option:

    • Select Default header graphic to use your existing default banner graphic with no changes.

    • Select Custom header graphic and upload a 1728x456px PNG to swap in a custom image.

    • Select Text to remove the image entirely and display headline text, subtext, or both in that area.

      1. If you select this option and have previously added a customer header graphic, it will auto delete.

  4. Click Save changes.

Note: It's recommended to view the customer-facing storefront after making a design change. You can use the URL presented under the storefront’s name to navigate to this view.

Adding a Custom Logo and Gift Wrap Colors to Digital Cards

By default, your own company logo will display with the digital greeting card and wrapping paper. You can swap this out on any storefront — a useful option when setting up a client-specific Custom Storefront.

Go to your Zest Partners portal and click Storefronts.

  1. Select the storefront you'd like to customize.

  2. Scroll to the section labeled Customize gift wrap and click the toggle next to the section title to activate this section. For example, if you want to default the gift wrap colors to a client’s brand colors in their private custom storefront:

    1. Update the Background color with a HEX color code

    2. Update the Foreground color with a HEX color code

  3. Beneath Client Logo, click Upload to import a PNG of the logo you want to appear by default in the digital gift tag in this storefront.

  4. Click Save to apply your changes.

Customizing Your Digital Card Library

Offering a curated library of digital greeting cards makes it easy for gifters to find the right card for any client, occasion, or season. You can customize which cards appear in each storefront.

  1. To add the additional designs to your card library, go to Settings.

  2. In the Branding > Digital gift cards section, upload your new designs.

  3. Go to your Zest Partners portal and click Storefronts.

  4. Select the storefront you'd like to customize.

  5. Scroll to the Digital Cards section and click Select digital cards.

  6. Check the box next to each card design you want to offer and click Select. You can select multiple to import more than one card at a time.

  7. Click Save to apply your changes.

If you no longer need the digital card design for the storefront, click the “x” in the design modal. You do not need to remove the design from your digital card library.

It is recommended to only have only the seasonally up-to-date cards available to customers.

Customer Logo and Card Options

A customer can upload their own logo, card design, and digital gift wrapping colors within a Storefront. This allows for the customer to use their own branding when sending an e-gift without the need of a custom storefront.

Important: This feature cannot be turned off.

Configuring Core Branding Settings

As mentioned at the start of this article, several account-level branding elements are managed globally in Settings > Branding and apply across all your storefronts. These include your logo, favicon, primary and secondary brand colors, accent colors, and button and container corner styles (sharp or rounded).

To learn more about these settings and how to change them, read Configuring Default Branding Settings for Your Storefronts.
