Zest's Branding Settings page gives you control over the visual identity of your corporate storefront — from your logo and colors to button shapes and digital gift card designs.
Customizing these settings ensures your storefront reflects your brand and delivers a cohesive experience for your customers. Before diving in, keep these tips in mind for best results:
Prepare your logo, favicon, and cover image files in the required formats and dimensions before uploading.
Choose your brand’s colors with sufficient contrast between background and text to ensure readability and accessibility.
Review your storefront on mobile after saving to confirm responsive elements like the cover image display as intended.
The storefront template itself is fixed, so the layout and structure cannot be changed, but organizing the Storefront’s products is available.
Note: These settings will also translate to the branding on the transactional emails sent on your behalf by Zest.
Branding
Logo, Favicon, and Cover Image
This is where you’ll upload your brand logo, favicon, and cover image.
The logo will appear on your storefront near the top left corner, transactional emails, and invoice generated in Zest, and will be the default logo used in e-gifts.
The favicon appears in browser page tabs and bookmarks.
Size: Must be a 32x32 px or 48x48 px .png file.
The cover image displays as a banner across the top of your storefront. Use a 1728x456 px .png file with a centered focal point to ensure proper responsive cropping. If your banner includes a centered logo, keep the logo no wider than 420 px for optimal display on mobile devices.
You can customize the custom banners within each storefront’s unique branding settings page.
Storefront UX Design
As you adjust different aspects of this section, you can see an example of how those changes will look in the real-time Preview section.
Corner Styles
Container shape
Controls the overall shape of content containers throughout your storefront. Options include: Sharp, Slightly Rounded, Rounded, and Very Rounded.
Button shape
Controls the shape of buttons across your storefront. Options include: Sharp, Slightly Rounded, Rounded, Very Rounded, and Pill.
Colors
Zest gives you control over six storefront color settings.
Page background sets the main background color of your storefront.
Page text sets the color of any text not within a banner or button and should contrast clearly against your page background color.
Primary button & banner sets the background color for any main banners and buttons and is ideal for your signature brand color.
Primary button & banner text sets the text color within any main banners and buttons and should contrast clearly against your primary color.
Secondary banner sets the background color for any secondary banners and should complement your primary color.
Secondary banner text sets the text color within any secondary banners and should contrast clearly against your secondary banner color.
Selection color sets the color of any variables that are selected, such as size or flavor, and should typically be the same as your primary or secondary brand color.
Note: Banner text is auto-generated, and while you can customize the colors within a banner, you cannot alter the text itself. This ensures all necessary information is front and center on your storefronts.
The text in the primary banner is pulled from each individual storefront’s settings page, e.g., if you allow the customer to send e-gifts.
The text in the secondary banner is pulled from each individual storefront’s pricing and discount settings (so all discounts or promos for a storefront are clearly displayed).
E-Gift Wrapping Paper
Customize the virtual wrapping paper that accompanies e-gift orders by setting a background color, which represents wrapping paper, and a foreground color, which represents the ribbon on a gift. You can see how these colors will appear in the real-time preview in the left-hand side of this section.
Note: You can customize the digital gift wrap colors within each storefront’s unique branding settings page. Customers can configure their own gift wrap color settings if they choose during checkout.
Digital Gift Cards
Card design
Upload custom gift card designs to display in your storefront. Cards must be 960x960 px .jpg or .png files. You can add multiple cards and include a description for each.
Note: You can manage the visibility and display order of digital gift cards within each storefront’s unique branding settings page. Customers can upload their own card design if they choose during checkout.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which branding elements are global vs. per-storefront?
Global settings (apply to all storefronts) include: logo, primary/secondary colors, container/button corner styles, and homepage URL.
Per-storefront settings include: cover/banner image, e-gift wrapping paper colors, digital greeting card designs, and custom client logos.
This means you can create client-specific custom storefronts with unique banner images and co-branded elements while maintaining consistent core brand identity across all storefronts.
Can I customize branding for individual corporate client storefronts?
Yes, each private storefront can have its own custom banner image, e-gift wrapping paper colors, and digital greeting card designs with the client's logo.
You can create co-branded headers (e.g., your logo alongside the client's logo) by designing a custom banner PNG and uploading it to that specific storefront. The recipient unboxing page can also show the client's logo. Pro tip: This is a key selling point for corporate gifting programs.
How does ADA compliance work for storefront branding?
Zest has built-in ADA compliance checks and proactively runs accessibility scanners. Brand colors are tested against color contrast requirements — if your brand colors fail ADA compliance (checked via a color contrast checker tool), Zest cannot configure them and will request alternative colors that pass.
If you need to override a specific color, email the exact hex code to support and a Zest engineer will review whether it can be accommodated while maintaining accessibility standards.
Can I upload my brand’s font to my storefronts?
Zest currently does not support custom fonts in storefronts.
Troubleshooting Branding Settings
Favicon not appearing after upload
After uploading a favicon in Settings > Branding, you must scroll to the bottom of the page and click Update to save. Then refresh your browser. If using Chrome dark mode, the favicon may not display properly — verify in a different browser or standard mode.
Logo appears very small in storefront header
Circular or icon-style logos may render very small in the storefront header. Consider using a horizontal/wordmark version of your logo instead. Contact Zest's design team for guidance on scaling options.
Mobile banner shows a colored block instead of image
If no sender/cover image is uploaded, mobile devices display a default turquoise placeholder. Uploading a cover image with a center-focused design resolves this issue.
Banner text mentioning e-gifts when e-gifts aren't enabled
The e-gift text ('send e-gifts and let your recipient fill in the rest') only appears in the secondary banner when e-gifts are enabled in storefront settings. If it's missing, check that e-gifting has not been disabled for the storefront.
Customers are navigating away from storefront via logo click
When the logo is clicked in the storefront, it will navigate to the URL entered in your Company Info Settings. This cannot be configured by storefront.
Browser-specific loading issues
If a storefront landing page doesn't load correctly in a specific browser, try updating to the latest browser version. Provide the browser name, version number, and a screen recording to Zest support for troubleshooting.
