How Can I Manage My Payment Methods for Storefronts?

Updated over a week ago

Manage your payment settings from the Payment section on the Settings page. From here, you can connect your payment processor, configure tax settings, manage auto-refunds, and control which cards your customers can use β€” all without any engineering help.

Stripe Account Connection

Connecting a Stripe account is required before your storefront can accept any payments. Zest uses Stripe as its payment processor, so this step must be completed before you go live.

How to connect your Stripe account

  1. Navigate to Settings > Payment.

  2. In the Connect your Stripe account section, click Connect.

  3. A dialog will appear asking: "Use an existing Stripe account?" Choose one of the following:

    • Click Yes to link an existing Stripe account β€” you'll be taken to Stripe to authorize the connection.

    • Click No, create a new account to set up a brand-new Stripe account β€” you'll be guided through Stripe's onboarding steps.

  4. Once your Stripe account is fully connected and verified, the section will update with a View Account button. Click it to open your Stripe dashboard and manage your account directly.

Note: If you started connecting your Stripe account but didn't finish, you'll see the Connect button again. Just click it to pick up where you left off.

Invoice Payment Methods

Once your Stripe account is connected, you can customize which payment methods your customers can use when paying invoices. You'll see a configuration option in the Connect your Stripe account section to set this up.

Tax Settings

Use the Tax Settings card to add or remove nexus addresses for US sales tax collection. A nexus address is a location where your business has a tax obligation β€” adding these helps ensure the correct sales tax is collected from your customers.

Auto-Refund Settings

The Auto-Refund Settings card lets you configure automatic refunds for e-gifts that haven't been accepted. You can:

  • Toggle auto-refunds on or off

  • Set the delay before a refund is issued (between 14 and 90 days)

  • Set a maximum refund amount

  • Add a notification email to be alerted when a refund is processed

International Payments

The International Payments card lets you control whether your storefront accepts international credit cards. Toggle this on if you'd like to accept cards from outside the US.
