You're in full control of how your customers pay for gifts and invoices (no engineering team required!). Here's everything you need to know.
Credit and Debit Cards (Available by Default)
All storefronts and invoices on Zest accept credit and debit cards out of the box, with no extra setup required. The moment your Stripe account is connected, you are ready to take card payments.
Additional Payment Methods for Invoices
For invoice-based payments (such as those sent through Zest Concierge), you can expand the payment options your customers see. The available additional methods include:
Apple Pay — a fast experience for Apple device users.
Google Pay — a payment option for Android and Chrome users.
ACH Direct Debit — bank account payments, ideal for large corporate orders where credit card fees would add up quickly.
Wire Transfers — another option for high-value B2B orders.
Note: These additional payment methods apply to invoice payments only, not to storefront checkouts.
How to Enable Additional Payment Methods for Invoices
You will do this in two places: your Stripe Dashboard and your Zest partner settings.
Step 1: Create a payment method configuration in Stripe
Log in to your Stripe Dashboard.
Navigate to Settings > Payment Methods.
Create or update a Payment Method Configuration, enabling the methods you want to offer.
Copy the configuration ID — it will look something like pmc_1234567890.
Step 2: Add the Configuration ID to Zest
Log in to your Zest Partners portal.
Go to Settings > Payments.
Paste your pmc_ ID into the Payment Method Configuration ID for Invoices field.
Click Save.
Once saved, your invoice checkout will display the payment methods you enabled in Stripe.
Saved Payment Methods for Faster Checkout
On storefront purchases, customers can choose to save their card details for a faster checkout next time. This is entirely optional — customers are in control of whether their payment info is stored.
Note: For invoice payments, payment method saving is not currently supported. Customers will need to enter their payment details each time they pay an invoice.
